Movie Review - The Book of Eli By Merian Redman "The Book of Eli" with Denzel Washington left me a little disappointed. I had greater expectations of more religion, more action or more message. It really did not get going for me. I was expecting something like a, "Parting of the Red Sea" Charlton Heston kinda thing as Moses in "The Ten Commandments". I recommend "The Book of Eli" as video good. I still love Denzel, he has some great fighting scenes.

A "Parting of the Red Sea" by Charlton Heston is a pretty high benchmark. Very few movies hold a candle to that.
