Flu Season
By Merian Redman
What can you do to keep yourself health during the flu season? There a some things such as exercising, drink lots of water, take your vitamins, get plenty of rest and wear gloves. Wear them everywhere. This little barrier between your hands and your face is a great preventative. It doesn't work for airborne, but it does cut down on the hand face contact. This is how a lot of germs are passed on. Did you know in 1918 thru 1919 the influenza pandemic known as the "Spanish Flu" or "La Grippe" killed somewhere between 20 40 million people. More people died in this single year than the four years of the Black Death Bubonic Plague, 1347 to 1351. This was the H1N1. In 1957 we had the H2N3 which caused the Asian Flu. In February, this strain of flu had reached Hong Kong by April, and US by June. The death toll in the US was approximately 69,800. Estimates of worldwide deaths range from 1 million to 4 million, with WHO settling on "about 2 million". In 1968 we had the H3n2 which caused Hong Kong Flu. An estimated one million people died worldwide. Prevention for you is also prevention for others.

I am an obsessive hand-washer - my keyboard looks brand-new even though I've been using it for years - but this is good advice for people who aren't.

Thank for the good advise, Merian. I don't believe that many people have considered this. Thanks for sharing. Frederick
The very best thing you can do to stay healthy is to eat well. having a strong immune system comes from a strong and healthy diet. I truly believe all illness, disease etc is a result of poor nutrition. Drinking lots of water is key too!
