"Extraordinary Measures" Measures - Movie Review

By Merian Redman

"Extraordinary Measures" with Harrison Ford playing the eccentric scientist, Brendan Fraser (based on the real father) and Keri Russell playing the mother of the children, is worth seeing on the big screen. It is about a family and their struggle to find a cure for 2 out of their 3 children with Pompe disease.

This is a disease where loss of muscle function occurs and life expectancy is 7 - 9 years old. During those years they spend much of their time on ventilators and in wheel chairs.

A very emotional movie that is loosely based on a the actual events of this family and their journey. This movie is a must see. You won't be disappointed. Warning: You may shed a tear or two.

Thanks Merian. I was wondering about this movie. I'm a big Harrison Ford fan.
